SUSTAINABLE FURNITURE
DESIGN

"How can we better preserve mother nature and at the same time integrate a closed-loop furniture manufacturing process in our workshop?"

This is one question that constantly rings in the mind of all that works with Etienne. Aside to creative design, having minimal negative impact to the environment is the way forward.

Food waste like cattle bones, oyster shells and coconut shells that would normally end up in the landfills, gets redirected to the our workshop where they have their beauty rediscovered and gets repurposed into a long-lasting furniture.

"The great thing about marquetry, which is also the most challenging part is that all the materials we work with are cut into minute pieces. Which means there are minimal chances of creating any material wastage."

Every step in our furniture manufacturing process is environmental conscious, where we take deliberate decisions to minimise any chemicals used to avoid adding any form of pollution to the environment.
