Round side table made of Tahitian (black) mother of pearl shell marquetry. Intricately inlaid piece by piece on these shells are carefully cut into delicate strips and are arranged according to its colour grade. Resting on a single-leg tapered base, the shells are arranged from beige-pink stripes to black colour where the marquetry works flow in a vertical fashion. Under visible light some parts of the veneers reflect the shell’s iridescent properties
